Cymbeline "Agadir" - Customized

Cymbeline is a Parisian company internationally known for the fine workmanship, the exceptional quality of their materials, and the fine details that make each of their gowns a distinctive work of art. Winner of the Wedding Trends News Award of the Best French Designer of the Year for 2009 and 2010, Cymbeline combines traditional luxury with modernity and avant-garde cuts.

"Agadir, a stunning gown from the award-winning 2009 collection, exemplifies Cymbeline’s unique style. Multiple tiers of alençon lace flow gracefully over a silk charmeuse lining. The flattering sheath widens to a slight mermaid, with a chapel train. The color of my gown is called "Caramel". I would describe it as a dark ivory. The lace is strewn with golden paillettes that make it glisten subtly in sun, moon, or candlelight. The beautiful lace gives the gown a vintage charm; while the plunging neckline and body-skimming cut make it very sexy indeed. So sexy, that I wore a custom designed jacket for the church ceremony. The jacket, of the same lace as the gown, is very fitted and has 3/4 sleeves, bateau neckline and invisible snap closures in the back. The bottom edge of the jacket, which reaches to just below the rib-cage, follows the pattern of the lace, repeating the tiers of the skirt. When the jacket was on it looked as if I were wearing a sleeved gown; when I removed the jacket for the reception, some guests thought I had changed dresses.

The gown was also altered from a halter neckline to straps, made of the same lace as the gown. The Cymbeline showroom made this suggestion and it made this light gown extremely comfortable. If you prefer the original neckline, it would be extremely easy to convert it back to a halter. Other alterations include - cups sewn in the bust, bustling, and very slight shortening. I am 5’3” and wore it with 2.5” heels. The lining was let out about 1/2” around the bodice and the ribbon removed to give the torso a more elongated line.

The gown is a European size 40, street size 4. I wore it on 12/15/2012. It has been professionally cleaned and preserved. I examined it before it was placed in an acid -free storage box and it looks absolutely brand new. I also have the original Cymbeline garment bag to give to the buyer.

The gown's list price was $3100. I am asking $1500.
